MISS JACK DAVEY of J*DAVEY INTERVIEW w/ MERC80.com (VIDEO)

I'm sure that Boudoir Synema is still in rotation with all of you and you've been to a few of their shows...but besides that the super group has been fairly quiet.  Well that changes right here with part 1 of an interview that Miss Jack Davey did with my boy Merc.  Check it out and get some background on the fans/critics problem and of course, where's the album.  To get a little more background on Miss Jack, go here.

NDUGU CHANCLER: MERC80 INTERVIEW pt. 1 (VIDEO)

The homie did an in-depth interview with a musical genius and major contributor to many of the songs that have shaped hip hop today.  Ndugu Chancler is not only a great musician he's also the father of a friend of mine, so to see him get some shine is great.  He's a great guy and someone to soak up some game from.  Peep part one as he talks about Michael Jackson vs Miles Davis, how he fell in love with music, and Miles Davis' role in music history.  I will drop part 2 tomorrow.  Enjoy.

Sidenote here are some musicians he's worked with that you may have heard of:

Michael Jackson.  Miles Davis.  Santana.  Herbie Hancock. Patrice Rushen.  George Duke.  Frank Sinatra.  Quincy Jones.  John Lee Hooker.  James Ingram.

MERCURY x PERFECTO - INTERVIEW pt 1 & 2

My boy Perfecto of Inglewood lets Mercury pick his brain on the hip hop scene and urban community as a whole and how it relates. If you know Perfecto you know he's all about the community and the next generation. He also runs Regal Tenant on Pico. The shop is right across the street from Roscoes and has some of the dopest hip hop and streetwear tees. You can also find physical copies of all your favorite mixtapes and "street albums" such as So Far Gone, A Love Supreme, Church League Champions and more. Pretty much all the tapes down the side of my blog. Get familiar...and if you didn't know, Eazee Street and Regal Tenant will be hosting an in store with Nipsey Hu$$le and the FCC in the coming weeks. Get ready.
