where LA happens...

Today is Chris Focus' actual bday, but as you know he had a large Bday Bash about a week ago. So here are just a small fraction of the pictures circulating from that party aka Capricornication. December 28th in Hollywood at Crimson...it went DOWN. Chris Focus brought out a large gathering of L.A. flair and partied with many of L.A.'s notables on the hip hop scene: Pacific Division, UNI, Diz Gibran, Basik of Bleu Collar, DNEZ and Convinced to name a few. Aja of Oh Soo Vain/the House of Pretty, brought out an abundance of hot ladies she's worked on or with in the fashion industry as well as her hot friends. Other notables in the house were FlipSide Enterprises, Blue Games INC, Weekend Warriors , L.A. Bella, and more. Take a look and see what you missed and just know next time Chris Focus or Aja has a hand in an event, find the right people to get you in the door. Bottles of vodka, beautiful people and an damn good time are expected. DJ Sean G also World Premiered Chris Focus new song "Bop Like This" (prod. by J Skillz) at the party and the crowd was rockin' with it. Chris planned on dropping it today as his bday gift to ya'll but a problem with the engineer has delayed that idea. For now you can peep the track Floss Angeles that Chris Focus is featured on with some other FCC favorites. Meka leaked the unmastered version on Saturday accidentally, but it seems to have been the talk of LA over the weekend. Chris is hoping to give you something new by the end of this week. So for now enjoy this. And since his bday is today, hit up his myspace and show him some love.

So Aja worked with a photographer named Sid, they did a photo shoot for this model Charlotte Tam who is a model for Elite Model Management, and because the make-up and photos were on point; their work is up on the site. Aja's been on her hustle these past couple weeks...and since she's fam she gets the post.

So 2 weeks ago there was a nice show that our boy OPhrap put on at 2nd Street Jazz Club. With FCC pals Chris Focus, Convinced, El Prez and DNEZ blessing the stage. Eazee Street, Whateyethought, Hip Hop Official, Oh Soo Vain, 2DopeBoyz, Like of Pac Div, Bella Beat and many more came to check out the event and it was a great time. A good friend of the blog...details to be revealed later...is taking all the footage that E Dub and I got together and will be putting together a lil video recap soon. In the meantime here is a small teaser of what you miss when the FCC stamps an event. HOLLA!!!

Speaking of my twin Aja...I forgot to post these a while back...but my girl got her first editorial make-up job printed. Her work was featured in Prestige magazine and in regards to this blog...not only am I featuring an LA resident gettin' it in on a global scale...but the pics are on that L.A. theme. You gotta love it...you can peep more of Aja's (the House of Pretty) work at www.dripbook.com/ajaeskandar. Some more of her work will be printed in the upcoming Dec/Jan issue of Prestige as well. If u're into fashion or maybe a female pal of yours is...make sure they check www.Ohsoovain.blogspot.com everyday...right after they get off Eazee Street of course. So E Dub drops the pics...and Prez drops this in my inbox...I now feel like I was there. Looked like alot of fun...next time I'm there. Enjoy!!!!

E Dub has more at his spot...but here are a couple photos from the shoot with people I know in them...

So look what I get sent to my inbox c/o of Ms. Aja aka Ms. OhSooVain herself. Here are a couple pics from the Kidz in the Hall video shoot. Kidz in the Hall were out here in L.A. the weekend of Rock the Bells to shoot a video for Love Hangover with Estelle (American Boy). The video was directed by Ethan Lader, who did their last video (Driving Down the Block). Aja was gettin' busy on the make-up and word is her and DNEZ have a scene in this video. Looked like a good time...I was that close to being in it...but some last minute mishap on my end kept me in the house that day.P.S. When the video is done I'll host it here.
Insa is the hot artist known for some of those famous paintings centered around women's breasts...but trust me this artist is awesome all the way around and always has some eye catching imagery to look at or buy. Spotted this over at Aja spot...she's trynna get me to cop her a painting as an early bday gift. We'll see homie, we'll see. This is a good alternative spot to be on a Saturday evening. Holla
