FOCUS'd FRIDAYS pt. 2

where LA happens...
That's right, part of the FCC fam EL PREZ was this HIP HOP OFFICIAL's ARTIST OF THE WEEK. Congrats to Prez, his hard work and all around cool persona have gotten some limelight shed on him and he's not stopping. He'll be sending me the Perfect Strangers EP with Dale Danja any second now, and as you know he'll be rocking that FCC show tomorrow night (a couple posts down). El Prez will also be shooting that Mass Appeal 09 Remix video tomorrow with Convinced & Tunji. See gets Artist of the Week and he's still workin, HARD. Keep it up Prez!!!
Jay Rock stops through LOUD to talk about career choices, gang culture and more. Peep it out, Watts City where u at?
West Coast veteran B-Real stops by Kev's office and has a good ol sit down.
So to hold you over until Chris Focus can send me this track, Chris decided to hit the masses off with this video: Ma$e f. Blackstreet, GET READY. He said this is how he feels right now...he's gettin' ready for the big show tomorrow as should you all. Also in lieu of all the Notorious hype, Ma$e is a Bad Boy artist that has been a fav of Chris Focus' for a long time. And Chris says he still bumps Double Up to this day. So enjoy this and I'll be back later with some new Chris Focus music.
So my lovely bodyguard sends me this video today, I told you she works for Creative Recreation by day, like a hobby...but anyways she said someone decided to do a song AND video about the shoes they love so much. I have yet to watch it but I mean, is it okay to stalk a company??? Anyways here is Lil Dummy with iRoc Recs.
Here's a video for the remix featuring Xzibit & Young De.
A lil interview session with DJ Babu, c/o of Rubyhornet's Imeem profile.
Half of the Slaughterhouse gang gettin' it in, Crooked I qualifies as post material here. No disrespect to Joell but Eazee Street is Los Angeles based...I randomly post the non-LA stuff, this is not that random time.
I noticed some clips of the show I was at that Miguel did, didn't even know VIMBY was in the house. Ya'll know I fux with Miguel's music, and he's good folks so I had to post this up pronto when I saw the info on Twitter.
A lot of cool things like this happen at this store constantly...since I was young. Get familiar.
Because I've bangin this track so much lately, I had to let the video get its shine over here. The video is on that real tip...he on all the blocks in the hood that he claims, and I've seen a lot of this area in my lifetime. I know I let a lot of Los Angeles hip hop flourish here and most times it's on some cool ish...but LA hip hop ain't LA hip hop without that gangsta touch, and Nipsey is reppin that to me. I feel he's in his own lane as well...which is important.
Here's an excerpt from El Prez' interview with Hip Hop Official where he touches on that FRESH remix we just dropped on ya'll today. And don't forget we filming the video this weekend and having the wrap party on Saturday night.
