So Chris Focus just shot me another track for ya'll to play during this FCC weekend, yeah I said IT!!! The track is called Impression and he's been sitting on this beat for a while figuring out what project to work it in with. If you listen you'll notice that the beat uses the same sample as Stakes is High. After his boys UNI redid Stakes Is High, Chris decided to just drop a lil freestyle over it rather than work it as a track. So he drops it for the masses. Enjoy. Pay attention to the bars and wordplay...shout out to Chris Focus and Flipside, I see ya'll. He'll be spittin' some hot lines at the big show tomorrow as well. BE THERE!!!

SO IT'S FINALLY HERE, that PERFECT STRANGERS EP. EL PREZ and DALE DANJA get together to cook up this nice concoction which features production from Dale, Dae One, Axl of 1500 or Nuthin, A3 and Chex & Christo. The project also features some FCC fam in Chris Focus, Convinced, Tunji, Shawn Chrystopher, DNEZ & C-San. Floss Angeles the mastered version is on this EP and there is Perfect Strangers remix hiding in here too. The remix features Shawn Chrystopher, Picas0, C-San, Convinced, and Chris Focus. Enjoy. That's right, part of the FCC fam EL PREZ was this HIP HOP OFFICIAL's ARTIST OF THE WEEK. Congrats to Prez, his hard work and all around cool persona have gotten some limelight shed on him and he's not stopping. He'll be sending me the Perfect Strangers EP with Dale Danja any second now, and as you know he'll be rocking that FCC show tomorrow night (a couple posts down). El Prez will also be shooting that Mass Appeal 09 Remix video tomorrow with Convinced & Tunji. See gets Artist of the Week and he's still workin, HARD. Keep it up Prez!!!

So to hold you over until Chris Focus can send me this track, Chris decided to hit the masses off with this video: Ma$e f. Blackstreet, GET READY. He said this is how he feels right now...he's gettin' ready for the big show tomorrow as should you all. Also in lieu of all the Notorious hype, Ma$e is a Bad Boy artist that has been a fav of Chris Focus' for a long time. And Chris says he still bumps Double Up to this day. Just letting you know again...this SATURDAY it's going down at the Palmer Room. The FCC and those dope artists that are a part of the FCC family will be tearing down the house so you'd want to see this. This will also be the Wrap Party for the Mass Appeal 09 Remix video shoot and the release party for DJ Spintelect's Terminator Mixtape. So make sure to be there. No plain tees and no hoodies...this is hip hop at it's flyest!!! And to remind you of what you may hear on stage I'll give you some songs again...

You know I show love to the Hawaiian side of things...they're part of the fresh coast in my eyes. I mean they have beautiful women, beautiful weather, beaches and they love good music and fly fashion...it's like an extension of Cali. Anyways, Fitted Hawaii is dropping a new pack: The Art of Lua Fighting. The pack features a hat, tee and hoodie. Peep the breakdown below:
“Kicking it off is a new kelly green tee dubbed “The Infamous” which features double F’s in an tonal all over print on the front, with the crown hit on the back. Clean & crisp. Next up is a no-nonsense, paper woven Kamehemeha. Because I've bangin this track so much lately, I had to let the video get its shine over here. The video is on that real tip...he on all the blocks in the hood that he claims, and I've seen a lot of this area in my lifetime. I know I let a lot of Los Angeles hip hop flourish here and most times it's on some cool ish...but LA hip hop ain't LA hip hop without that gangsta touch, and Nipsey is reppin that to me. I feel he's in his own lane as well...which is important.

So if you didn't know, Shawn Chrys' blog is probably the best "hip hop" blog to find out up to date info on the Laker's season. But then Shawn started slacking and I was supplying the people with the recaps. Well Shawn is back at it, so I guess now we're having a friendly competion to see who gets Laker info up faster. Either way they taking care of business, and they just served the Spurs yesterday (welcome back Jordan). THE FCC HAS A LARGE WEEK AHEAD, as we'll be dropping exclusive new ISH everyday leading up to the FCC LIFTOFF. We gave you the huge NYC approved LA remix to Mass Appeal 2009...instant classic. Tomorrow we'll be lacing you with El Prez new collabo project with Dale Danja called Perfect Strangers. The single already threw the internet into a frenzy...and with features from Convinced & Chris Focus, this should be a nice HEATER for the winter weather.

So to wet the world's appetites for A Love Supreme, UNI and Mick Boogie are dropping a mixtape tomorrow with UNI and a slew of talent. Mostly from the West Coast but there are some surprises such as Black Milk and Talib Kweli. UNI has already leaked a few tracks as you've seen the FCC post. A couple more tracks were being mixed down and readied for Mick to put some last minute finger tips on and have for you tomorrow. Get ready Los Angeles, we have another reason to be be proud of our city.

NIKE's AIR PENNY 1/2 CENT

I honestly don't know how I feel about these. I was a supreme Penny fan, and a huge advocate of his shoes. I had the all white Penny 1's and like 5 pairs of the Penny II's (they only had 3 colorways). So this is a mesh of those with a little foamposite to bat in ode of Lil Penny. If you don't know about Lil Penny, u better YouTube it. This was an interesting idea...but I don't know if I would want these to rock or play ball in...and I can't see me sporting em on an outing. May need to see in person, hmmmmmmmmmm...spotted at KixandtheCity.

NIKE - MISTAKES & NOBLE GESTURES

So yeah, most of the time I post kicks on the Street, it's because I'm usually feeling them and feel they're cool enough to share so others can go partake in a purchase or mutual interest. But this post is about some ideas I'm not rocking with. So I love Air Jordan 1's...the strap idea, not completely sold on it yet. Now I thought it would be cool to do the A Tribe Called Quest versions from an artistic standpoint...but as you can see above it is a complet FAIL. The effort was there, but I'm not feeling it. The "Gucci" inspired Denim Dunks are okay to me. But if you're going to be inspired by a luxury line, then a more premium look should've been used. The denim with the red and green seems kind of blah at best. I like the idea of Nike doing an Air Force 1 dedicated to Black History Month...but I feel the shoes are very normal looking. Of course the color scheme is right, the bag is dope...but it looks so generic and borderline ugly. Dah well can't make us all happy I guess. But you guys might be feeling them, let me know.

Just warning ya'll, but the next few posts are gonna be on some sneaker shhhhhhhhhhh...lol. I showed ya'll the red ones of this series awhile back. These are the Vintage Blazers, you know the ones that look worn out already. I'm digging the red, but now that i see there is a blue version (I mean that is my favorite color) I don't know which ones I'll cop.
